How Does Coaching Differ from Therapy?Coaching is an action-oriented and future-focused helping relationship. More structured than traditional therapy, it is more interested in the asking the question how instead of looking backwards at the why. Coaches and clients work as a team to develop a clear vision, set goals and execute plans. A coach often provides the support and information necessary to stay on track and hurdle barriers. Coaching can be for adults, older children or adolescents, even families sometimes tackle problems jointly with the support of a good coach. |
