Couples & Family Therapy
As therapists trained in Marriage and Family Therapy, we enjoy helping family members find their way back to one another again. We believe that each person needs at least 2 or more individuals to be securely attached to...someone to share life with honestly. Decades ago, as a society we relied on our community to help us through the day. Technology seems to keep us isolated. We e-mail, text, drive alone, eat alone...at what cost? Relationships seem to be significantly effected by our increasingly isolated environments. Therapy helps renew lost attachments. Whether the session involves all members of the family, a parent and teen, the couple or parents alone, family therapy can help create peace, balance and understanding during a chaotic and lonely time.

Family therapy tends to be a flexible working model. Sometimes parents can be invited in to an adolescent's therapy session to create a family session. Other times it may include a mother/daughter dyad, or maybe it includes the entire family. The power of a family session is something to respect. As a therapist who treats families, I find it amazing to watch families alter their own family rules as they confront one another with areas or rituals that are no longer serving them. Watching families understand their own dynamics and work together to shift them can be quite rewarding. Find out more about family therapy today.
