Why Choose a Registered Dietitian as Your Nutritional Coach?

At the Center, we provide nutritional counseling for those who need it. Our Registered Dietitian has experience working with all ages and a wide array of issues. Sessions are often held at the office, but can also occur as training and educational experiences in the supermarket. We also offer Corporate Coaching to help employees maintain healthy, mindful lifestyles, which has the ability to create a more productive, successful workplace.

A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a food and nutrition expert, often called a nutritionist, who has met academic and professional requirements and is trained to guide you through lifestyle changes that promote healthy lifetsyles. Whether you are struggling with a gluten free diet, food allergies, a fussy child, obesity or a lifestyle that isn't quite working, nutritional coaching can help get you and your family on the right track.

Services

Nutritional Counseling/Coaching

Initial Consult: 60 minutes
The first initial consult is designed to establish what isn't working, what has worked in the past and what the proposed goals could be. A complete assessment of your medical history, diet history, and your physical activity is essential in making your treatment plan tailored specifically to you and your needs. After your initial consult, you will leave with set goals that are designed to be both realistic and tangible.

Follow-up:
Following up to help your newly learned information turn into new habits and lifestyles changes is crucial. In order to incorporate new healthy habits, it is important to follow up to establish what is working as well as what changes still need to occur. Sometimes clients unintentionally sabotage good health and positive success. If this is happening to you, it will be important to understand this behavior and learn ways to allow the success of a healthy lifestyle to become a part of your every day new life. Determining what your personal momentum will need to be can be determined as a team between you and your nutritional coach. Clients can meet twice a week, weekly, or monthly depending on the established goals and on your individual needs.

Grocery Store Tours
Many times not understanding where to start can be overwhelming and can make one quit before even starting. Grocery tours are offered as part of the coaching experience when needed. Some need assistance learning how to effectively read labels, others are starting a new diet or experiencing a new allergy and need help navigating healthy choices within these new perimeters. Learning ways to choose organic products while protecting your pocketbook can be an art and skill that a good nutritional coach can teach. Super market tours can be educational and quite empowering. A layer of help that many require in order to make the new lifestyle stick.

Corporate Wellness Programs
Many HR departments are required to offer wellness workshops and classes to their employees in order to keep insurance costs at a minimum. We enjoy giving talks to employees about relevant healthy lifestyle changes that can absolutely effect work performance and attendance. Couple this with a career coach from our center and your organization can receive a well rounded efficient workshop that has the potential to enhance physical health and workplace satisfaction. A win-win for all.
