Therapeutic Play Dates in The Therapy Room

Picture
Anyone with a child on the spectrum, with a developmental challenge or even chronic illness understands how difficult socialization can be.  Having a therapeutic play date is a wonderful way for your child to learn appropriate 1:1 social skills from a well trained play therapist.

Therapeutic play dates involve parent sessions, individual play sessions with the play therapist and child AND carefully paired play dates that occur in the therapy room WITH the play therapist. Child not only learn social skills, but are able to practice with a peer all the while being coached by the therapist. Therapeutic play dates will be videotaped and feedback and ideas for home success will be shared with parents. This approach can be adapted for sibling sessions too.

Sibling Play Therapy Sessions
Think of a sibling session as being a hybrid approach to the therapeutic play date and Theraplay sessions. Sibling sessions are purposeful, activity based sessions that allow the therapist to interact with both children, assess and video tape the dynamic and share feedback with the parent. What a wonderful approach to help children heal emotionally and relationally. Get the peace your family is craving by scheduling your sibling sessions today!

I am interested in a Therapeutic Play Date or Sibling Session.
