SSP& RRP: Safely Rewire Your Nervous System
Through Scientifically Filtered Music
FAQ for the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) & Rest and Restore Protocol™ (RRP)
Q: What Do the Listening Programs Sound/Feel Like?
A: Most can not hear the alterations in music. Some will feel a tingling in their ears or gentle sensations in their bodies while listening. Your clinician will help you understand more.

Q: I already have a therapist (or am not seeing one at all). Do I have to see one of your therapists for therapy in order to do the SSP or RRP?
A: No. You do not have to be a therapy client of ours to receive the SSP/RRP. The listening programs are not counseling therapy. If you are currently in therapy in another practice, you can receive SSP or RRP with us and still keep your previous provider.
Q: When will I see results?
A: Some see results after the first session, while others see results farther into the program. Changes in the nervous system and changes in symptoms in the body are still integrating a month after completing the programs. Some report dramatic changes while others are more subtle.
Q: How often can the SSP or RRP programs be repeated?
A: We get this a lot! If desired, the SSP or RRP may be completed again in 6 weeks using the same method as before. If you wish to go from one program to the next (SSP to RRP) this can often happen within 2 weeks of completing the original program. Your clinician will help assess the safest way to continue.
Q: Does insurance cover either listening program? What about Health Savings and Flex accounts?
A: Health Savings account and Flexible Spending account cards can be used to help cover the expenses of the SSP program. SSP and RRP are not recognized for insurance reimbursement at this time.
No need to feel overwhelmed! Your clinician will help determine which program (SSP or RRP) would be better suited to meet your goals.
The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) & Rest and Restore PRotocol™ (RRP):
Length of Treatment & Cost

*COST: $200/mo for the duration of either the SSP or RRP program
Fees for either listening program go towards SSP/RRP certification, collaboration the therapist may need to do to offer sound treatment, access to the music list, software and app as well as the provider’s time spent. Pre and post tests can also be included to measure symptoms and success.
The SSP and RRP are five hour programs, broken into smaller daily segments. Some find that daily 15 minute sessions are just right while others are more successful with 2-3 minutes or even 30 seconds, a few times a week. Your clinician will help you determine the best cadence for you.
Some are able to complete the program in 2 months, while others take 6 months or longer. The health of your nervous system and body's responses to stress over the years will help determine the length of treatment needed. Issues such as chronic illness, trauma, panic attacks, etc all impact the hardiness of the nervous system and thus length of treatment needed.
No need to feel overwhelmed! Your clinician will help determine which program (SSP or RRP) would be better suited to meet your goals.
*NOTE: If your therapist is trained in SSP or RRP, you may qualify for a discounted rate. Inquire within.
