The Director of the Center, Gabrielle, worked beside a well respected physician for 7 years. During this time, she was groomed to understand the emotional and mental health effects of many chronic illnesses and counseled many patients with significant diagnoses. This training has been shared with other colleagues in the practice. The Center is trained to recognize illnesses such as PANDAS, Lyme Disease, Hyper/Hypo Thyroid, etc. and help make appropriate referrals when necessary. Cancer, renal failure, tick illness, miscarriages and diabetes are examples of chronic illness that the Center has experience helping others navigate. Our center sees many adults and teens individually. There are many reasons that one might seek therapy. Working long hours, excessive traveling, divorce/separation, caring for a special needs child, getting a cancer diagnosis and forgetting everything to fight it...the list is endless.
